Designer Sunglasses

After many years of wearing spectacles I decided to pay a visit to my local iCare specialist and see what alternatives he had available to me.
I couldn't help but notice the array of designer sunglasses he had on display. What took my fancy was the Ray Ban Sunglasses.
Rayban have been around for a while and they command a fairly good price for their sunglasses, however the price is in the mid range bracket for the designer type sunglasses. Still I was a bit concerned at paying out hundreds of dollars for a pair of sunglasses. Not everyone is like me though; many find the label and design appealing and are willing to part with the cash for a pair of genuine Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses. My attention was broken as the receptionist informed me that the optometrist was ready to see me.
To be honest, I have not worn my spectacles for about three years as I found them restrictive. Since my eye condition is Myopia, I found I could get by without them reasonably well.
The only irritating thing was having to squint to see distant objects or words. Myopia causes blurred vision. It is difficulty seeing distant objects clearly. Frowning and screwing up the eyes in an effort to see better is common and this may cause headaches. Which is another reason why I am here, persistent headaches, which coincidentally started not long after I stopped wearing my spectacles.

As I enter his office I am asked to take a seat in a semi-darkened room. A rather old looking man with a very soft-spoken voice asks how I am getting on. I explain to him my situation.
I would like to try out some contact lenses. I have a teaching appointment in a week and a half time and need to be able to see the students. The hall is a big hall able to sit 200 plus and without spectacles it is impossible for me to see the students sitting at the back.

He runs through a few eye tests with me to ensure my eyesight hasn't deteriorated, including a peripheral vision test to check for glaucoma. All is well; my eyesight is still the same it was 3 years ago.
As he is talking to me, I glance up and notice the frames of his spectacles. The distinctive brand 'O' as in Men's Oakley Sunglasses is clearly on the arms. I start recalling the pair of Oakley Half Jacket Sunglasses that I had with detachable lenses. These were a cool looking pair of sunglasses that to my horror I broke as I unknowingly sat on them.

'Can we contact you at the same number?' My mind is pulled out of this daydreaming state and back to reality. 'Ah, yes', I mumble.
Your new lenses should be ready in 3 days time, We will give you a call when they arrive. We will show you how to fit the contact lenses and how to look after them. They are
Disposable lenses and so will last a month.

I happily leave the room and pay the receptionist and look forward to my new lease on life with contacts. As I leave I cant help but notice the designer sunglasses section again. No Authentic Chanel Sunglasses. Maybe next time I call I could mention the range we stock at http://www.designersunglasses.co.nz
